Pottery Barn- Brimfield Inspired

Today- the Pottery Barn February catalogue arrived via mail....love the vintage inspired organizers...feel as though the buyers scoured the grounds of Brimfield and brought their best finds right to my door...
deal! small urn $29
ladder storage using the gym locker baskets (I found these in the fall during a salvage hunt) but like the way they are used here!
cool for a boys room....my son had something similar...housed all the little things he collected and saved, cars, playmobil people, rocks, etc!
this bedford project table is a great option....could be used as a desk & or homework station...converts to a buffet or bar when entertaining....I'm talking myself into this as I write!

how cool....old fashion postcard stands!
vintage keys...except in this case...it'r really more fun to collect the authentic ones!

Fresh Touches for the New Year for $25 or less!

Easy domestic touches that will be kind to your post holiday budget--but yet infuse your home with something fresh:

1. A sophisticated scent from Yankee Candle is Midnight Jasmine- one of my favorites!  For 14.99 it comes in a small tumbler with a brushed lid and rivals many of the high end scented candles.  Your home will smell amazing!

2. Water Hyacinth Basket from Pier One Imports start at $12 & can get you organized.  Hand stamp and tie on tags for even more efficiency and a sweet touch:

3. Frames at Pottery Barn are currently on sale. In white or black 8 x 10s are $23 and less for smaller sizes.  Take some of your favorite photographs and process in black & white for a collage in a hall, entry way or vacant wall space.  Inexpensive yet interesting wall decor!
4. Mason jar bouquets. Mason jars can be purchased at Target for about $5 but are also fun to pick them up at flea markets or antique fairs.  Bouquets looks interesting when split and arranged at various heights.
For that matter mason jars have a zillion uses...organizing or for candles, inside or out:
5. Succulents! Easy to care for and can be placed in interesting containers from teacups to antique silver for a charming display.  These can be found at Home Depot very inexpensively and the containers can be anything new or vintage that you might find!

6. And lastly---cleaning products that are packaged beautifully and smell great are an incentive to inspire your housework!  Cleaning an organizing are at the top of my 2012 resolutions.  Mrs Meyers makes products that I love <3
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
